OMNIUM GATHERUM Begins Recording New Album
March 24, 2008Finnish metallers OMNIUM GATHERUM have issued the following update:
"Drum recordings of the fourth OMNIUM GATHERUM album have started at Sound Supreme Studios in Hmeenlinna, Finland with Janne Saksa. Next weekend we'll change the location to our local SouthEastSounds studio to Karhula where we'll be recording the rest of the stuff with Teemu Aalto. The mixing and mastering of the album will be happening in May at rebro, Sweden in Unisound Studio by Dan Swan."

OMNIUM GATHERUM last year parted ways with bassist Janne Markkanen and replaced him with Eerik Purdon (CRYSTAL BLAZE, AMORAL).
The band's latest album, "Stuck Here on Snakes Way", entered the Finnish chart at position No. 31. The CD, which was released on April 2, 2007 via Candlelight Records (one day later in North America),was recorded during November-December 2006 at Southeast Studios in Karhula, Finland with producer Teemu Aalto. An eight-minute video clip documenting the recording sessions for the album has been posted online at this location. Check out audio samples on the band's MySpace page.
"Stuck Here on Snakes Way" marked the band's first release with brand new vocalist Jukka Pelkonen, who joined the group in May 2006.
